NEW DELHI — India’s defence manufacturing sector has achieved a historic four-fold growth over the last ten years, signaling a decisive shift toward national self-reliance, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh announced.
Production figures soared from ₹46,000 crore in 2014 to an impressive ₹1.80 lakh crore, driven by robust domestic modernization initiatives and strategic policy reforms across the sector.
Simultaneously, outbound defence exports reached a record ₹39,000 crore, firmly establishing the nation as a competitive and rising global exporter of military hardware.
