Welcome to Dhallo News. We are dedicated to providing you with the latest news, updates, and analysis on a variety of topics, all in one place.
Our Mission
Our goal is to equip our audience with nuanced perspectives on breaking news, politics, business, science, and the arts, fostering an informed and engaged citizenry.
DHALLO NEWS — EDITORIAL STANDARD
Facts First. Context Always. Sensationalism Never.
Dhallo News is committed to journalism that is accurate, independent, fair, transparent and responsible.
We verify information before publication, distinguish confirmed facts from allegations and developing information, identify sources where appropriate, and correct significant errors openly.
We do not knowingly fabricate information, manipulate facts, misrepresent sources, or present unverified material as established fact.
We maintain a clear separation between news, analysis, opinion, advertising and sponsored content. Political, commercial and other external interests must not determine independent editorial decisions.
We treat social-media posts, RSS feeds, user-generated material and AI-generated information as sources requiring appropriate verification—not as automatic proof.
We respect privacy, human dignity, copyright, vulnerable individuals and the public interest. Sensitive stories receive additional editorial scrutiny.
Our journalists and editors remain accountable for everything published under the Dhallo News name, including content assisted by technology or automation.
Our commitment is simple: tell the truth as accurately as we can, explain what we know, acknowledge what we do not know, and correct our mistakes when we get something wrong.
DHALLO NEWS — FACT-CHECKING POLICY
Verify before we amplify.
Dhallo News is committed to verifying important facts before publication and correcting significant errors when they occur.
We identify the original source of claims, seek reliable evidence, cross-check important information and distinguish verified facts from allegations, rumors, developing information and opinion.
We do not treat social-media posts, RSS feeds, screenshots, user-generated content or AI-generated information as automatically true. Such material is subject to appropriate verification.
For photographs, videos and other visual material, we examine origin, timing, location, context and possible manipulation when necessary.
We apply the same fact-checking standards regardless of political party, government, organization, individual or commercial interest.
When evidence is insufficient, we say so. When a claim is false or misleading, we explain why using evidence. When Dhallo News makes a significant factual error, we correct it promptly and transparently.
Our goal is not simply to publish more information. Our goal is to publish information that readers can trust.
DHALLO NEWS — FACTS FIRST. VERIFIED ALWAYS.
DHALLO NEWS — CORRECTION POLICY
When we are wrong, we say so and fix it.
Dhallo News is committed to accuracy, accountability and transparency. Despite careful verification, errors can sometimes occur. When they do, we correct them promptly and appropriately.
Our commitments
1. We correct factual errors.
Material errors involving facts, names, dates, figures, quotations, locations, attribution, images, videos or other significant information will be corrected.
2. We do not hide significant corrections.
When an error materially affects a published story, we will identify the correction clearly and explain what was wrong and what is correct.
3. We distinguish corrections from updates.
A correction addresses information that was wrong. An update provides new information that was not previously available.
4. We correct across platforms when necessary.
Material errors distributed through our website, app, push notifications, social media, video, graphics or other channels will be corrected through the affected channels where appropriate.
5. We take responsibility for our publications.
If incorrect information originated with a third-party source, RSS feed, user-generated submission or AI-assisted workflow and was published by Dhallo News, we remain responsible for correcting our publication.
6. We correct quickly.
Serious factual errors are escalated immediately to an appropriate editor. Corrections should not wait for a routine publishing cycle.
7. We maintain an editorial record.
Significant corrections are recorded internally so that we can identify recurring errors, improve our processes and maintain accountability.
8. We welcome legitimate corrections.
Readers, sources, organizations and individuals may alert us to potential errors. Every credible correction request will be considered on the evidence.
Our standard is simple: accuracy before pride, transparency before concealment, and correction before convenience.
DHALLO NEWS — FACTS FIRST. ERRORS CORRECTED. TRUST EARNED.
DHALLO NEWS — SOURCE ATTRIBUTION POLICY
Readers have a right to know where our information comes from.
Dhallo News identifies the sources of important information clearly and honestly.
When information comes from an external source, we attribute it appropriately. When Dhallo independently verifies information, we distinguish that verification from the original source.
We prefer named, authoritative and primary sources whenever possible. Anonymous sources are used only in exceptional circumstances when the information is important, the source has direct knowledge, the information cannot reasonably be obtained otherwise, and appropriate editorial approval has been obtained.
Information obtained from RSS feeds, other news organizations, social media, press releases, user-generated content or third-party material is not automatically treated as independently verified Dhallo reporting.
We identify the original source of externally produced photographs, videos, graphics, documents and other material and respect applicable copyright and licensing requirements.
We do not present another organization's reporting as our own. We do not use vague attribution when a source can reasonably be identified, and we never knowingly misrepresent the origin of information.
AI tools may assist our editorial processes, but AI is not treated as a journalistic source. Important factual claims must be traceable to reliable human, documentary or primary evidence.
Attribution is more than giving credit. It tells readers how we know what we know.
