General Situation: Tropical Cyclone Saudel will linger over the northeastern part of the South China Sea tomorrow morning, gradually turning westwards. It will then skirt the coast of eastern Guangdong. Under the combined effect of Saudel and the northeast monsoon, the weather will be windier with swells over the coast of southern China. Saudel is expected to edge closer to the vicinity of the Pearl River Estuary again on Friday, but there are rather large uncertainties in its intensity by then. There will still be a few showers over the coast of Guangdong on Friday and Saturday. Under the influence of a continental airstream, the weather will improve and showers will ease off over southern China early to midweek next week. Besides, Tropical Cyclone Krovanh will move towards the vicinity of the Ryukyu Islands tomorrow, and linger over the region in the following couple of days.
