The remnant of Saudel is affecting inland southern China. The band of clouds covering the coastal areas is thinning out slightly. Besides, the area of low pressure over the western North Pacific to the east of the Philippines is bringing unsettled weather to the region. At noon, Tropical Storm Krovanh was centred about 390 kilometres north of Okinawa. It is forecast to be slow-moving, lingering over the vicinity of the Ryukyu Islands. Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight: Sunny periods in the afternoon. Mainly cloudy tonight. Light to moderate west to northwesterly winds. Outlook: Sunny periods and one or two showers in the next couple of days.
