Heavy rain inundates several parts of Vizag; normal life disrupted

Tree-fall incidents were reported across Visakhapatnam as heavy rain inundated low-lying colonies, damaging infrastructure and disrupting traffic movement in several areas, around 30 families moved to safer locations, 71 trees uprooted and nearly 5.5 km of roads damaged; authorities launched rescue, evacuation and restoration measures as the wet spell continued under the influence of a deep depression
