Ukraine War May Extend Until 2027

The conflict in Ukraine could drag on for another three to four years as Russian President Vladimir Putin attempts to run out the clock on Kyiv. According to Atlantic Council nonresident senior fellow Melinda Haring, Putin is relying on complicated negotiations to undermine Ukrainian sovereignty. Recent envoy meetings indicate that Western allies now expect the grueling war to extend well into 2027.
