Maruti Suzuki targets 30% female intake at Manesar manufacturing institute by FY29

Maruti Suzuki India plans to raise female student intake at its Japan-India Institute for Manufacturing in Manesar to 30% by Academic Year 2028-29, from 9% currently. The automaker has introduced fee waivers for female students and plans a dedicated hostel and greater representation of women across faculty and support functions.
