In an extraordinary feat of endurance and storytelling, an Indian photographer has concluded a remarkable five-year, 21,000-kilometre expedition across the country on a bicycle.

Traversing 28 states and more than 180 remote villages, the solo cyclist dedicated his journey to documenting the unvarnished rhythms of daily rural life.

Along the winding route, he befriended countless strangers, immortalizing India's rich cultural tapestry through his lens just ahead of Independence Day celebrations.
