THIRUVANANTHAPURAM — Senior CPI leader Annie Raja has called on the Kerala Legislative Assembly to pass an official resolution demanding the swift, unhindered implementation of the historic Women’s Reservation Act.
The landmark legislation guarantees a pivotal 33 percent reservation for women in both the Lok Sabha and state legislative assemblies, aimed at correcting long-standing gender imbalances in Indian governance.
Emphasizing democratic equity, Raja asserted that state lawmakers must lead by example to ensure women attain their rightful voice in public policy without undue procedural delays.
