Fast-Track Drive: Kerala Enlists Colleges to Clear Licence Backlog

In a major push to resolve prolonged administrative delays, the Kerala Motor Vehicle Department has announced plans to hire private and educational facilities to conduct pending driving and learner’s licence tests.

Under the new scheme, authorities will lease computer halls and auditoriums in nearby schools and colleges. These selected centres must feature reliable internet connectivity and adequate workstations to support testing operations.

Officials anticipate that expanding into external venues will rapidly clear the mounting queue of frustrated applicants awaiting certification across the state.
