Penguin Random House India has decided not to publish the highly anticipated memoir of senior political leader Sonia Gandhi after she reportedly rejected suggested editorial changes.
Titled Belonging: A Journey of Love, the memoir was scheduled for release on November 10. The manuscript chronicles Gandhi’s transformative journey from post-war Italy to her defining decades embedded within the Nehru-Gandhi political dynasty.
The sudden standoff leaves the future release of the deeply personal and politically significant chronicle currently uncertain.
