Ugandans plant trees near national park to keep people out of gorillas’ habitat

Communities in Uganda are planting trees along the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to provide resources like firewood and medicine. This initiative aims to prevent residents from entering the park, thereby protecting the habitat of the growing mountain gorilla population.
