Osaka Metro to Replace Magnetic Tickets with QR Codes

Osaka Metro plans to completely phase out traditional magnetic tickets in favor of advanced QR code technology by around fiscal 2031. The rail operator, which already utilizes QR code systems across its network, aims to modernize passenger services and streamline fare collection.
