LATEST: French high schools to remain closed as 250,000 join protests

More than 250,000 demonstrators took to the street in France on Tuesday, as unions and teachers joined protests by high school students. Meanwhile the Prime Minister announced that high schools (lycées) will remain closed for the rest of the week.
