Winds are weak over the coast of Guangdong. At 10 p.m., Tropical Storm Krovanh was centred about 270 kilometres north of Okinawa. It is forecast to move south at about 10 kilometres per hour lingering over the vicinity of the Ryukyu Islands. Meanwhile, the area of low pressure over the western North Pacific to the east of the Philippines has intensified into a tropical depression. The tropical depression was centred about 500 kilometres west-southwest of Iwo Jima. It is forecast to move north-northwest at about 26 kilometres per hour towards the seas south of Japan. Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow: Mainly cloudy. The minimum temperature will be about 27 degrees tomorrow morning. Sunny periods during the day with a maximum temperature of around 31 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees higher in the New Territories. Isolated showers later. Light to moderate west to southwesterly winds. Outlook: Sunny intervals and a few showers on Sunday. Becoming fine in the following couple of days.
