General Situation: Tropical Cyclone Saudel will linger over the northeastern part of the South China Sea tonight to at first tomorrow. Under the combined effect of Saudel and the northeast monsoon, the weather will be windier with swells over the coast of southern China. Saudel will then turn westwards gradually, skirting the coast of eastern Guangdong, and edge closer to the vicinity of the Pearl River Estuary again on Friday. But there are rather large uncertainties in its intensity by then. There will still be a few showers over the coast of Guangdong on Friday and Saturday. Under the influence of a continental airstream, the weather will improve and showers will ease off over southern China early to midweek next week. Besides, Tropical Cyclone Krovanh will move towards the vicinity of the Ryukyu Islands in the next couple of days, and then linger over the region.
