General Situation: The remnant of Saudel will intensify gradually into a tropical cyclone over the vicinity of the southeastern coast of Hainan Island later today. It is expected to move eastwards across the northern part of the South China Sea, edging closer to the coast of eastern Guangdong gradually in the next couple of days. Under its combined effect with the northeast monsoon, the weather will be windier with squally showers and swells in the next couple of days. The tropical cyclone is expected to weaken in the latter part of this week, but there will still be a few showers over the coast of Guangdong. Besides, the area of low pressure over the western North Pacific to the east of the Philippines will intensify gradually and move towards the vicinity of the Ryukyu Islands in the next couple of days.
