General Situation: Tropical Cyclone Saudel will linger over the northeastern part of the South China Sea tonight to at first tomorrow. Under the combined effect of Saudel and the northeast monsoon, the weather will be windier with squally showers and swells over the coast of southern China. Saudel will then have a higher chance of turning westwards, skirting the coast of eastern Guangdong, and edging closer to the vicinity of the Pearl River Estuary again around Friday to Saturday. There are rather large uncertainties in its intensity by then. There will still be a few showers over the coast of Guangdong. Under the influence of a continental airstream, the weather will improve and showers will ease off over southern China early to midweek next week. Besides, Tropical Cyclone Krovanh will move towards the vicinity of the Ryukyu Islands in the next couple of days, and then lingering over the region.
