The remnant of Saudel is affecting inland southern China. The band of clouds covering the coastal areas is thinning out slightly. Besides, the area of low pressure over the western North Pacific to the east of the Philippines is bringing unsettled weather to the region. At 8 a.m., Tropical Storm Krovanh was centred about 360 kilometres north of Okinawa. It is forecast to be slow-moving, lingering over the vicinity of the Ryukyu Islands. Weather forecast for today: Sunny periods. The maximum temperature will be around 31 degrees. One or two isolated showers in the afternoon. Moderate west to northwesterly winds. Outlook: Sunny periods and one or two showers in the next couple of days.
