Sununu: High Jet Fuel Prices Are Crushing Airline Industry

Chris Sununu, President and CEO of Airlines for America and former Republican Governor of New Hampshire, says high jet fuel prices are “crushing” the airline industry even as travel demand remains strong. Sununu says airlines are absorbing much of the higher fuel costs and expects that pressure to persist as the Iran conflict drags on. Sununu says the continuing resolution only kicks the can down the road and warns another government shutdown could significantly impact airlines. Sununu says Congress is “not doing their job,” arguing lawmakers are failing to address major fiscal and spending issues. He speaks with Kailey Leinz on Bloomberg’s "Balance of Power."
