Former AIADMK MP Jagannathan sentenced to two years in prison

A Tiruvallur court sentenced former AIADMK MP Jagannathan to two years in prison and fined him ten thousand rupees for marrying a second time without his first wife's consent. A case was registered against the former Sriperumbudur lawmaker at the all-women police station following a complaint alleging he contracted the bigamous marriage in 2016.
