BREAKING: Sagar Spurious Liquor Tragedy, Death Toll Rises to 11 in Madhya Pradesh

A major tragedy has been reported from Sagar district in Madhya Pradesh, where the death toll from suspected spurious liquor consumption has risen to 11. All those who died are reportedly from Baraj village in Bunda tehsil, where several people consumed liquor on the previous night and later developed serious health complications. As information about the incident emerged, senior police officials reached the area and launched an investigation. According to preliminary reports, illegal liquor of different brands had allegedly been sold in the area for several days. There are also allegations that complaints had previously been made to the excise department regarding the illegal sale, but no effective action was taken. The incident has raised serious questions over enforcement and monitoring of illegal liquor sales in the region. Around two dozen people are reportedly undergoing treatment at hospitals in Bunda and Sagar, and authorities fear that the death toll could increase depending on the condition of those hospitalized. Several of the victims are reportedly young adults, with around eight deceased individuals said to be between 30 and 35 years old. People from Bunda and nearby villages, including Bamura and Baraj, are among those affected. Police and administrative authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the exact source of the liquor and the circumstances that led to the deaths. Samples and other evidence are expected to be examined as part of the probe.
