India to set up first port-based e-methanol facility at Kandla for Rs 2,300 cr

India’s first port-based e-methanol plant will be built at Kandla with an investment of ₹2,300 crore. The 150-tonne-per-day facility, a joint venture between Deendayal Port Authority and Assam Petro-Chemicals, will produce green fuel using renewable power, water and biogenic CO₂.
