Bharat NCAP 2 to roll out from October 2027, entire vehicle safety chain to be assessed: Nitin Gadkari

India will enhance vehicle safety assessments with Bharat NCAP 2 starting October 2027. This program will evaluate the entire vehicle safety chain to address accident rates. Driving behavior will also become a key part of road safety regulations. Repeated safety rule violations could lead to driving license cancellation. Responsible drivers will receive incentives and other benefits for their adherence.
