Authorities in Nepal have arrested two men following widespread public outrage sparked by viral footage showing the desecration and robbery of a flood victim's body.

Police identified the suspects as 25-year-old Madan Gurung and 38-year-old Umesh Chaudhary. The disturbing video showed the pair callously dragging the deceased woman by her hair to rip away her gold earrings amid the recent flood devastation.

Both men remain in police custody as investigators prepare formal charges, condemning the shocking exploitation of a tragedy.
