In a major boost to domestic manufacturing and international trade, the Central government has significantly eased export regulations for defence equipment.
Under the revised framework, exporters can now self-generate a one-time authorisation covering multiple consignments, eliminating the need for separate approvals for every batch. Additionally, the validity period for export licences has been increased to two full years.
Officials state this strategic reform will drastically cut bureaucratic delays, expedite overseas deliveries, and strengthen India's standing in the competitive global defence market.
