Former Minister P.K. Sekarbabu appeared before the inspector of police at the North Beach police station on Wednesday following violent polling day altercations between DMK and TVK cadres.

Investigators questioned the senior political figure regarding the tense confrontation that erupted between rival supporters during the recent electoral process.

Following an extensive session during which authorities officially recorded his formal statement on the matter, Sekarbabu was permitted to leave the police premises.
