VISAKHAPATNAM — The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) has stepped up enforcement against residential apartment complexes flouting municipal waste management mandates across the city.

The GVMC Commissioner issued a direct appeal urging apartment residents to diligently segregate household waste into wet, dry, and hazardous categories without exception.

Civic authorities emphasized that segregated refuse must strictly be handed over to authorized door-to-door collection vehicles, warning that continued non-compliance will invite stringent municipal penalties.
