Adult Swim is turning up the heat with an animated adaptation of "Get Jiro," the gritty graphic novel co-created by the late culinary icon Anthony Bourdain and author Joel Rose.

Originally published under DC’s Vertigo imprint, the brutal satire imagines a dystopian future where elite master chefs wage bloody territorial wars to satisfy an obsessive food culture.

Starring a renegade sushi master caught between rival factions, the action-packed saga is scheduled to premiere on October 3.
