A bitter property dispute over an inner-city beer garden has officially escalated to the Supreme Court, pitting a beloved local venue against municipal authorities.

For nearly fifty years, the business has occupied two adjoining public laneways for outdoor seating. However, city council officials are now pushing to reclaim the land and restore public pedestrian access.
