In Manjari village on the outskirts of Pune, dozens of young tribal students have entered the third week of a determined hunger strike, demanding long-overdue government action.

The protesters, mostly first-generation college-goers, are urging the Maharashtra administration to revamp dilapidated hostel infrastructure, upgrade academic quality, and fulfill a Supreme Court-mandated employment directive pending for nine years.

Tired of empty promises, these resolute youths insist their strike will persist until authorities provide concrete solutions instead of continued official silence.
